The RL Mountains are awesome off-road shoes at a sweet price point. They boast Bontrager's Bronze series carbon soles for optimum power transfer plus enough flex for comfort and walking. Complementing the great feel are Bontrager's customizable eSole insoles, breathable InForm uppers, no-slip heels and tongues that extend all the way to the toes for a custom fit. You'll also love the ratcheting buckles and Velcro strap closures, and the aggressive soles, which offer top traction and even include removable toe spikes.
In order to mount your pedals' cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns. There are 3 configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD.
